HOW-TO TIPS

Getting Started

  1. Register with your provincial 4-H council to determine your collection area and drop-off point and for collection point contact information.
  2. Ensure adults are available to oversee the collection of the containers.

Prior to the drop off date, please ensure that the following have been completed:

  1. Containers are to be completely empty of the product, let the liquid evaporate, outside.
  2. After the containers are completely empty you can return the containers with the cap off.
  3. Rinse the outside of the containers to remove excess dirt and material.
  4. Leave the labels on the containers for product verification.
  5. Prior to the drop off day collect the container and ensure that producers are aware of where they can deliver their containers.

Note: Share these handling guidelines with area producers to ensure containers are clean and dry for your collection.
